The COVERT Collective Presents Jackie Bradshaw
March 11
Dusk to 9:30PM
Caroline and Erb Streets
The COVERT Collective is very pleased to present a showcase projection of the work of Kitchener artist Jackie Bradshaw in Uptown Waterloo.
When you look at Jackie Bradshaw’s art, you enter a highly detailed yet deceivingly simple world of the natural and the surreal. Water and fields have faces, the trees have arms… her work brings the environment to life. Leaning on the folk-art traditions of Maud Lewis and Faith Ringgold, her paintings are tapestries of wonder and curiosity, and ask us to question our place on and responsibility to the earth.
The COVERT Collective is a gathering of visual art curators from across Canada, sharing the work of artists they love, and work that inspires them. Digitally platformed and branded as curated. the ad hoc group celebrates the artists and work that makes them think.
Outsider artist Jackie Bradshaw is a multimedia artist based in Kitchener, Ontario, whose work has recently been shown internationally at the Outsider Art Fair in New York city. She is the recipient of several local awards and is part of The Creek Collective. Jackie’s work was shown last year as part of Femme Folks Fest 2024.
